Jeep Cherokee Configurations

The Jeep Cherokee has several configurations available, so that you can get exactly the kind of experience you want during your drives around town. For example, this SUV comes standard with 2-wheel drive (4X2), but there are three available 4-wheel drive (4X4) systems for you to choose.

The first is Jeep Active Drive I, which is a system that automatically switches between 4X2 and 4X4 as the terrain requires, to deliver a capability boost whatever the weather. The Jeep Active Drive II system adds in torque management and a 4X4 Low mode for optimized pulling power, and improved climbing and crawling capabilities.

You'll also have your choice of three different engines. The 2.4L Tigershark® MultiAir®2 I-4 engine comes standard and puts out 180 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque. The available 2.0L Turbo I-4 delivers the most torque at 295 lb-ft.
